FAQs
COMITTMENT MEETS OPPORTUNITY
Can anyone sign up with Gateway Hoops Recruiting?
No. We watch highlights and full game films to verify a prospect has college-level talent before accepting them as a client. Our experience and expertise helps us determine if a player is able to play college sports at some level. Our credibility in this area makes us an asset to college coaches as well as the clients we serve.
Can we guarantee an offer?
It is against NCAA rules for a recruiting service to offer a refund should a client not receive an offer. We can’t require payment only when a school offers nor can we refund your money if you do not receive an offer. We only accept clients after determining they have the ability to play college sports, and have full confidence that we are able to help you have a successful recruitment.
How do you determine a player's level of play?
We evaluate each player’s talent level, grades, and character, which all factor into the fit for each college program. There are many factors that determine at what level a player will ultimately see the most success. Based on past experience and our continuing conversation with coaches at all levels, including NCAA D1, D2 and D3, NAIA and JUCO, we can help advise on the ideal fit, and along with your input, create a list of target schools.
What is your primary approach to helping players connect with coaches?
We’ve developed strong relationships with coaches across all levels over the years. The college basketball coaching network is a very tight community, and we primarily rely on direct contact with college coaches through calls, texts, and social media. We rarely use emails as most coaches don’t have time to open and read the hundreds of emails they receive on a regular basis.
